This contract opportunity offers you the chance to provide essential care in an elementary school environment, ensuring the well-being of one student requiring dedicated attention for trach management.
Responsibilities:- Deliver 1:1 care for an elementary-age student with tracheostomy needs during the school day
- Administer medication, monitor vital signs, and provide respiratory support as required
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to ensure student safety and inclusion
- Maintain accurate documentation of health status, interventions, and daily activities
- Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies following established protocols
Experience:
- Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) licensure
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with tracheostomy care, particularly with school-age or pediatric populations, strongly preferred
- Clear background check and ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening (district requirements)
- Professionalism and comfort working closely with school personnel and student families
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
This full-time, 40-hour-per-week contract extends through May 2026, giving you stability and the reward of watching your student thrive over the school year.
