Maintenance Technician
th St SW, Lakewood, WA 98499
Crossbeam Investments, LLP, a local property management company, is searching for a Maintenance Technician for Hidden Lake, a 144-unit apartment complex located in the Lakewood/Tacoma area.
Responsibilities include unit turns, work orders, and general maintenance of the property. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, be honest, reliable, and motivated.
Schedule:
Tuesday - Saturday 9 AM - 5:30 PM.
- Unit Turns
- Repairing cabinets, closet latches, hinges, bathroom fixtures, etc.
- Light plumbing leaks/troubleshooting
- Changing locks
- Light electrical such as replacing light fixtures, heaters and outlets
- Replacing water heaters
- Some painting
- Unit Work Orders such as clogged garbage disposals, toilets, sinks and tubs; leaky faucets, shower heads and anything the resident breaks.
- Light appliance repair
, knobs, burners, heat elements, broken handles, etc. - Daily walk of the grounds
, vacuum and pick-up garbage as needed to keep areas well maintained. - Schedule outside vendors as needed which could include carpet cleaners, housekeepers, carpet installers, plumbers, electricians, etc.
- Follow up with management on all repairs and work needed or completed.
- On-call rotation for emergency calls such as fire, floods, etc.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician. Prior maintenance experience in property management strongly preferred.
- Proficient with general repairs/maintenance work, basic appliance repair, plumbing and electrical.
- Heavy appliance and pool experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and vendors.
- Able to work well independently and also collaborate effectively with a team.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
- Hiring is contingent on passing a background check and drug test.
- $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (DOE)
- Up to 90% employer paid Medical
