Service Employee – Fleet Care

Transdev in Lakewood, Washington is hiring a Service Employee to perform basic vehicle servicing duties, including refueling operations. We look for customer service-oriented professionals dedicated to safety.

• Competitive compensation package: minimum $20.00 per hour – maximum $21.25 per hour

• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
• Sick days: 1 hour earned for every 40 hours worked
• Holidays: 12 days – 8 standard and 4 floating
• Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.

• Maintain cleanliness of fleet vehicles – interior and exterior
• Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles
• Fuel buses, replenish fluids, and log and record all fluids
• Download drive cameras and probes fare boxes
• Perform light maintenance of shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor
• Other duties as required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical certification (company paid)
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possibly sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally through the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
