Description:
Provides a variety of technical procedures requiring the use of ionizing radiation.
This position requires independent judgment and technical skills to produce quality radiography for diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities include performing CT and X-Ray examinations.
Produces radiographs using proper technical factors and evaluates each image for proper exposure and positioning.
Schedules exams and instructs patients on preparations for the procedures.
Sets up and organizes rooms for radiographic procedures.
Reports directly to the Imaging Services Manager.
Requires flexibility to work in changing conditions.
Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment.
Ability to lift and move patients with or without assistance.
Requires agility for frequent changes in position.
Visual and hearing acuity are required to receive feedback from patients.
Includes periods of stooping, standing, bending, and moderate lifting.
