Position: Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Overview

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Lamar, Colorado.

Start date:

07/13/2026, for 13 weeks. Earn a weekly pay range of 2,560 – 2,697 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 3x12‑hour Nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am). The role is in a hospital setting with a Critical Access designation. This is a travel temporary assignment managed through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care for women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and newborn care, within the scope of practice.
  • Perform assessments, monitor labor progression, prepare for C-sections and inductions, and document nursing care.
  • Administer IV medications; adhere to infection control principles; maintain patient safety and comfort.
  • Support the delivery room environment, provide emotional support, coordinate transfers, and deliver patient education.
  • Deliver post-delivery and postpartum care including newborn care and lactation education; ensure proper documentation.
  • Maintain sterile technique, uphold OB departmental policies, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team in high-­stress situations.
Requirements
  • Active Colorado RN license; RN graduate with current Colorado licensure.
  • Current CPR certification;
    Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS within one year of employment.
  • 4 years obstetrics care experience preferred.
  • Ability to work nights in a labor and delivery setting; capable of standing, walking, and handling physical demands of the role.
  • Knowledge or interest in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursing care; strong communication and teamwork skills.
