Registered Nurse - Obstetrics (RN)

The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, and postpartum, alongside direct care for the newborn, ensuring comprehensive maternal childcare.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and monitor the labor process.
• Prepare for C-sections, inductions, and ensure proper documentation of nursing care.
• Administer care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum, including infant care and patient education.
• Prepare delivery room and provide emotional support to patients.
• Coordinate patient transfers and administer IV medications.
• Adhere to infection control principles and OB department policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Colorado RN licensure.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS must be obtained within one year of employment.
• 4 years of experience in Obstetrics care is preferred.
• Knowledge and interest in labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursing care essentials.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, working 36 hours per week on the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. May require rotating shifts and areas based on staffing and census needs. On-call duties are required.
