Registered Nurse - Obstetrics

Requirements:

• RN graduate with current licensure
• Current CPR certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS within one year of employment
• 4 years of experience in Obstetrics care preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to women in labor, during delivery, and postpartum, including newborn care.
• Perform assessments and monitor the progress of labor; prepare for C-sections and inductions.
• Administer care during labor and post-delivery, including patient education and emotional support.
• Coordinate transfers and prepare the delivery room, adhering to infection control practices.
• Administer IV medications and maintain proper documentation of nursing care.
• Work effectively in high-stress situations and communicate efficiently with diverse populations.

Compliance / Notes:

• On-call required.
• May rotate shifts and areas as staffing and census require.
• Position entails long periods of standing, walking, and heavy lifting; exposure to blood and body fluids possible.
