Job OverviewRailcrew Xpress (RCX) provides safe and dependable transportation to railroad crew members. The transportation service is vital to railroad operations and the company takes pride in the service provided.
Responsibilities- Transport railroad crews to various locations based on their needs.
- Help maintain railroad systems and ensure the safety of all involved.
- Serve an on‑call role and create your own schedule.
- Full‑time and part‑time opportunities with wide schedules.
- Limited medical, dental, short‑term disability and life insurance.
- Paid time off after completion of one year of employment.
- Paid time while waiting on crew or train.
- Paid training.
- Minimum age of 21.
- Current valid state‑issued driver's license.
- Preferably live within a 20‑25 minute distance of the location.
- Allowed to be on call and schedule own hours.
- Maintain a current valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- Acquire and retain any state required license certifications.
- Less than two moving violations within the last three years.
- No careless, reckless or failure to control violation in the last five years.
- No driving under the influence convictions in the previous seven years.
- No record of drug or alcohol‑related convictions within the previous four years.
- No auto theft conviction in the last seven years.
- Background check with eRailsafe or corresponding report; felony conviction within the last seven years may be disqualifying.
- Ability to use electronic devices and programs to communicate, onboard, train and submit required shift and trip information.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Extended periods of sitting while driving or waiting on crew.
- Ability to bend, stop and stretch for vehicle inspection.
- Ability to safely enter and exit the company vehicle and fit behind the wheel with seatbelt.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act if required.
- Ability to hear, read and respond to instructions in English.
- Submit to and receive a negative drug and/or alcohol test.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Professional temperament and attitude.
- Ability to navigate in high‑traffic areas.
- Ability to meet time deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills.
