Lamesa ISD is seeking an enthusiastic, student-focused educational leader to serve as the next Assistant Principal at North Elementary
, home to our third through fifth grade students. We are looking for a collaborative administrator who is passionate about helping students build strong academic foundations, empowering teachers, and creating a positive learning environment where every child can succeed.

As Assistant Principal, you will partner with the campus principal to provide instructional leadership, support high-quality teaching and learning, and promote a safe, welcoming campus culture. This role is ideal for a leader who values teamwork, data-driven decision-making, and building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families.

• Support the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of the instructional program for students in grades 3–5.

• Coach and support teachers through instructional feedback, professional learning, and collaborative problem-solving to improve student achievement.

• Foster a positive campus climate that promotes student engagement, character development, and academic excellence.

• Assist with the daily management of campus operations, including student discipline, attendance, safety, and school procedures.

• Analyze student achievement and assessment data to guide instructional decisions and campus improvement efforts.

• Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure every student receives the support needed to reach their full potential.

• Help coordinate student programs, campus events, and activities that enrich the elementary experience.

• Ensure compliance with district policies, state requirements, and accountability standards.

• Serve as a visible, approachable leader who builds strong relationships and contributes to a collaborative campus culture.

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.

• Valid Texas Principal Certificate or other appropriate Texas administrative certification.

• Certified Texas Teacher Support & Evaluation System (T-TESS) Appraiser.

• Knowledge of elementary campus operations and instructional best practices.

• Strong understanding of curriculum, instruction, and assessment for upper elementary students.

• Ability to evaluate instructional effectiveness and promote continuous teacher growth.

• Experience using student performance data to improve academic outcomes.

• Ability to manage personnel, budgets, and campus resources effectively.

• Knowledge of district policies, procedures, and educational regulations.

• Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members.

• Minimum of two years of successful classroom teaching experience.
