South Plains Rural Health Services is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Big Spring clinical team. This position is a great opportunity for a dependable, compassionate healthcare professional who enjoys working directly with patients and supporting providers in a busy outpatient clinic environment.

What You'll Do

As part of our clinical team, you will help ensure patients receive efficient, compassionate, and high-quality care. Responsibilities may include:

  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and other patient information.
  • Assist providers and nursing staff with patient care.
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies.
  • Assist with patient flow throughout the clinic.
  • Document appropriate information in the electronic health record.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Follow infection control, safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements.
  • Perform additional clinical duties within the scope of your certification and training.
Qualifications
  • Current CNA certification or Medical Assistant certification required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic computer and electronic health record experience preferred.
