Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Managed Care is hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to join our team at the Smith Unit, located in Lamesa, TX.

At TTUHSC, our LVNs are vital members of a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing safe, compassionate, and competent care within a correctional healthcare setting.

About the Smith Unit

The Smith Unit offers a fast-paced clinical environment where LVNs play a critical role in daily patient care, emergency response, chronic disease management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Nurses are empowered to utilize their assessment and critical-thinking skills while contributing to positive patient outcomes.

Rotating 12-Hour Shifts (4 on/4 off)

Enjoy a predictable rotating schedule that provides four consecutive workdays followed by four consecutive days off, offering excellent work-life balance.

  • Clinic Nurse | Rotating, 5:00 AM–5:00 PM

Required Qualifications
  • Current LVN License in the State of Texas, or ability to transfer license to Texas, or scheduled to complete a program of vocational nursing within 120 days of applying for a position.
  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
  • New graduates must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) on the first attempt.
