Counter Sales Associate

Position Overview

Counter Sales Associate – a primary point of contact for retail and wholesale customers, responsible for ensuring sales and customer satisfaction.

• Assist customers with auto‑parts questions and DIY projects.
• Determine customers’ needs and provide product recommendations.
• Handle cash, charge, and core/parts returns according to company policy.
• Move engine blocks, core barrels, and other heavy equipment using hand trucks, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, and other aids.
• Report overages, shortages, and damaged merchandise; maintain store appearance and displays.
• Stand and walk for the duration of the shift; lift and move up to 60 pounds.
• Follow instructions, keep the store clean, and maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain a professional attitude, appearance, and conduct.
• Support training and learning initiatives and work as a team player.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Minimum age 18 with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
• Experience in automotive parts preferred.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and listening skills.
• Attention to detail, time‑management, and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 60 pounds for the entire shift.
• Clear speaking and attentive listening skills.
• Motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn and train.
