Are you a positive, enthusiastic, and caring individual seeking to take the next step in your career within the residential care and education sector? We are offering a rewarding opportunity for a Team Leader to join a dedicated team committed to supporting children and young people with emotional and social difficulties.
This role provides the chance to make a real difference to children and young people in a residential setting. The successful candidate will work as a senior member of the residential team. The Team Leader will provide high-quality care in line with industry standards and ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or an equivalent qualification.
Key responsibilities of a Team Leader:
* Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in the home.
* Supporting the team and working closely with the registered manager to deliver the best care possible.
* Applying a person-centred, therapeutic approach to support young people's development.
* Leading and inspiring a team of support workers to ensure consistency and high standards of care.
* Working flexibly across shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in duties on a rota system.
* Ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
What we look for:
* Minimum of 18 months of experience working in residential childcare.
* Full driving licence is essential.
* Proven ability to interact effectively with young people and team members.
* Experience working with children displaying challenging behaviours.
* Confidence to lead and support a team of support workers.
* Ability to maintain consistency and provide stable support to young people.
