Salary: £40,777 - £46,142

Full Time, 37 hours per week

We’re excited to introduce brand‑new roles within Lancashire’s Children’s Residential Services — and this is your chance to influence the direction of a growing, ambitious service from day one. As a Residential Learning & Practice Improvement Officer, you’ll have a real opportunity to leave your mark
, raise standards, and help shape an exceptional future for our children’s homes.

You’ll play a pivotal part in driving high‑quality, trauma‑informed practice across our homes. This includes:

• Designing and delivering engaging, high‑quality learning
• Providing live, on‑shift coaching that builds confidence and capability
• Supporting teams with practice improvement, compliance and Ofsted readiness
• Leading on induction through to advanced specialist training
• Helping embed a consistent culture of nurturing, safe and therapeutic care

This is a hands‑on, relationship‑driven role where you’ll work directly with managers and staff to create homes where children feel truly supported and able to thrive.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• 3+ years’ leadership or management experience in children’s residential care
• Strong coaching skills with the ability to model best practice in real time
• Confidence working with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted expectations
• A genuine passion for staff development, learning and service improvement
• Level 5 Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it)
