Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Blackpool to recruit a dedicated KS1 Autism Support Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 1.

This is a full-time role for the entire academic year
, offering the opportunity to build a strong relationship with the child and make a genuine impact on their educational and personal development. For the right candidate, there is the potential for the position to become permanent.

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism (ASC)
• Support learning, communication, and emotional regulation throughout the school day
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in lessons
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff
• Help create a calm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, care, or support setting
• Knowledge or experience of supporting children with Autism is desirable
• Patient, resilient, and able to build positive relationships
• A caring and adaptable approach to supporting individual needs
• Passionate about helping children reach their full potential

Full-time role for the remainder of the academic year

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
