This is an exciting time to join Blackburn with Darwen's Venues Team. With King George's Hall preparing to reopen following a £13.5 million transformation
, we are looking for an ambitious and customer-focused Assistant Hospitality and Event Co-ordinator to help lead and develop our food, beverage and hospitality offer across King George's Hall and Darwen Library Theatre.
From major concerts and theatre productions to conferences, private events and community celebrations, you'll play a key role in ensuring visitors receive an outstanding experience while maximising commercial income and growth opportunities. Help leading our hospitality and bar teams, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, help to developing an attractive hospitality offer, driving sales and profitability, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance and presentation.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has some experience managing hospitality, catering or licensed operations in a venue, events, and is looking to step up into the junior management role.
- You will be commercially minded and passionate about growing income and improving customer experiences.
- Has led teams, motivating and developing them and feels the need to grow.

If you're passionate about hospitality, customer experience and building a successful commercial operation, we'd love to hear from you.
