Plumbers Mate / Pipefitter's Mate Required – Preston

We're currently looking for 2 x Plumbers Mates / Pipefitter's Mates to join a mechanical contractor on a school refurbishment project in Preston, starting Monday.

This is an excellent opportunity for operatives with mechanical experience to secure an immediate start on a well-organised project, assisting experienced Pipe fitters with the initial strip-out phase.

Duties Will Include:

* Assisting Pipe fitters with the removal of existing pipework and mechanical services.

* Safe stripping out and dismantling of heating and pipework systems.

* Moving and organising materials around site.

* Loading out and disposing of redundant materials.

* Assisting with lifting, carrying and general installation tasks.

* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

* Following site health & safety procedures at all times.

* Supporting the mechanical team throughout the first phase of the project.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working as a Plumber's Mate, Pipefitter's Mate or Mechanical Labourer.

* Valid CSCS Card (Essential)

* Experience working on commercial or education projects is advantageous.

* Good understanding of site health & safety.

* Reliable, hard-working and able to work as part of a team.

* Own PPE.

* Ability to start immediately.
