Retail, POSITION SUMMARY

The Member Services Representative is responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to SoCal Fitness Partners members, prospective members and guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Greets members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
Handles all front desk related activities including:
Answers phones in a friendly manner and assists callers with a variety of questions.
Checks members into the system.
Completes new member and potential new member facility tours.
Presents rate presentations to potential members.
Registers new members for membership.
Facilitates needed updates to member's accounts.
Responds to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevates to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Assists in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.

PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION

One-year plus experience in customer service function preferred.
Basic knowledge in the use of computer technology.
A passion for fitness and health.
Ability to interact effectively, positively and consistently with members, guests, visitors and coworkers.
Focus on consistently exceeding member expectations.
Demonstrated diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to function in high-pressure and fast-paced situations.
Correctable vision and hearing.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to communicate verbally in a clear understandable speaking voice both in person and on the telephone.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
May be exposed to cleaning chemicals.
Ability to adhere to all safety procedures.
Consistently maintains excellent punctuality and reliable attendance.
Ability to adhere to SoCal Fitness Partners uniform policy.
