Adjunct Drama Theater Art Lecture

Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct (temporary, part‑time) faculty applicant pool for the Drama Theater Art Adjunct Instructor position.

• Instruct students in the assigned discipline.
• Assignments may include teaching courses during the day, evening, online, and/or at off‑campus sites.

• Master's degree or Master of Fine Arts in drama, theater arts, or performance; or Bachelor's degree or Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama, theater, or performance combined with a master's degree in comparative literature, English, communication studies, speech, literature, or humanities, or an equivalent combination.
• Application must include official transcripts for required degree(s); foreign transcripts require certified equivalency to U.S. transcripts.

• Practical and collegiate instruction experience in lighting design.
• Ability to create and maintain light plots and associated paperwork within budgetary constraints.
• Ability to lead and supervise hang and focus, and notes sessions.
• Attendance at production meetings, staging rehearsals as needed, cue setting, technical, and dress rehearsals.
