Care Team - Instructional Support

As a Care Team member, you will perform a variety of instructional activities, assist in the delivery of learning experiences within specific areas of study, and perform routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel.

You will assist instructional personnel with the presentation of learning materials and in the presentation of instructional lessons. You will tutor individual students and small groups of students to reinforce and follow up learning activities, as directed by the teacher or Principal. You will monitor and assist students in learning activities as a follow up to the presentation of instructional concepts by instructional personnel.

You will direct and supervise students in safe learning activities, and assist in the shaping of appropriate social emotional behaviors. You will reinforce the social emotional curriculum and instruction. You will prepare and assist in the preparation of a variety of instructional materials for use with individuals, or small groups of students or in a learning center. You will operate and assist students in the operation of a variety of instructional media, office machines and equipment, and vocational and career educational equipment.

You will monitor resource and learning centers and assist students with the use of center equipment and in the remediation of specific learning problems. You will assist with providing extra curriculum support to at-promise learners to fill learning gaps. You will assist with the administration of a variety of assessments. You will administer routine first aid and request appropriate assistance for serious injury or illness.

You will maintain or assist in maintaining orderly, attractive and stimulating learning environments. You will participate, as requested, in parent conferences. You will attend to the physical and health needs of learners. You will assist with the transportation of learners to/from learning and play environments.

Communicating with others to exchange information. (In Person/Telephone/Computer) Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. When needed to support a school or education program, must have the ability to travel by public transit as well as operate a vehicle for self-transportation purposes between worksites.
