Position Overview
As an experienced plumbing design engineer at Henderson Engineers, you will contribute to our six market sectors:
Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. You will integrate our engineering knowledge with the in‑field experience of our sister company, Henderson Building Solutions to deliver a client experience unlike any other.
Multiple openings:
Applications accepted on an ongoing basis.
- Perform calculations and designs for basic to advanced engineering systems independently.
- Prepare basic to advanced electrical system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
- Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
- Research and make recommendations regarding feasibility of systems or equipment; evaluate products for application.
- Assist with developing, establishing, and maintaining relationships with strategic partners and customers in support of business development.
- Seek continuous learning opportunities and stay current on industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.
- May support or be responsible for project coordination activities such as managing emails, coordinating scope and schedule, attending client meetings, ensuring project quality, responding to client questions, and coordinating project delivery.
- Act as a resource for training or assisting others as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (mechanical, electrical, fire protection, architectural) and 3 years of experience, or 5 years without a degree (mandatory). Professional Engineering (PE) license may count toward 1 year of experience.
- For Level III: 7 years of experience or 9 years without a degree; PE license may count toward 1 year.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Completion of FE exam, LEED and/or WELL accreditation.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry codes, design guides and standards.

- Denver: $83,600–$145,200
- Las Vegas: $92,400–$119,700
- Los Angeles: $88,160–$153,120
- New York: $92,720–$161,040
- Washington DC: $88,160–$153,120
