Overview
The Electrical Engineer provides technical guidance for production and troubleshooting. This classification involves multi‑skill responsibilities across electrical vehicle development and support.
Responsibilities- Update firmware onto coach and bus, and perform electrical repair or assembly.
- Understand electronics and their relationship to software/firmware.
- Read and create wiring diagrams and schematics, using AutoCAD.
- Work with vendors to find solutions and suitable products.
- Communicate with team members to coordinate projects.
- Develop specifications and test requirements for product design.
- Analyze design reliability, serviceability, and manufacturability.
- Perform engineering duties at customer sites or off‑site when required.
- Create BOM and oversee drawing creation to support new designs.
- Travel to customer sites for troubleshooting as needed.
- Provide support to Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Customer Service.
- Recommend improvements to engineering policies and establish procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement of electrical best practices, evaluate industry tools and techniques, and collaborate with Electrical and Software Engineering teams.
- Maintain awareness of how assigned tasks impact schedule, scope, budget, and quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Fluency in Mandarin.
The work environment includes typical manufacturing and vehicle development settings. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. Noise levels are usually loud; work may be performed near moving mechanical parts and in high precarious places.
Physical RequirementsRegularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay Range$70,000 – $90,000
