Position details:
Antelope Valley Apartments, a 120-unit affordable community in Lancaster, CA.
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to ensure the property meets Company standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality. You will respond to service requests promptly and professionally and contribute to maintaining the property and common areas.
Responsibilities- Represent IPG in a positive and professional manner at all times
- Complete assigned work orders and preventive maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards
- Access materials and supplies, track inventory, and notify the maintenance supervisor when re-ordering is needed
- Perform general community and facilities maintenance with minimal supervision
- Provide positive, proactive resident relations and fair treatment during interactions
- Assist with inspections and upkeep of the property and common areas daily
- Follow a preventative maintenance schedule
- Contribute to occupancy goals and resident satisfaction through quality maintenance work
- Support management in developing more efficient maintenance methods
- Participate in after-hours and emergency coverage rotation
- 1+ years' experience as a Maintenance Technician at a multifamily community of 100+ units
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in on-call rotation
- Experience with plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs (stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc.)
- Must supply own hand tools and have knowledge of safe use and maintenance of hand tools and equipment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and valid driver's license
- Spanish-English bilingual is preferred but not required
