SUMMARY
Performs skilled work in preparing metal and other surfaces on automotive equipment for painting and in applying lacquers, primers, synthetic enamels, polyurethane, and epoxy with spray guns and other auto painting equipment to automotive and construction equipment;

- Prep units for paint: sanding, blocking, applying putty and visual
- Bodywork (fills, blocking, bodyline creating/ moving)
- Disassemble and reassemble body components
- Dent repair, also using filler
- Metal finish and metal manipulation
- Rub and polish exterior of transit
- Measure body lines utilizing a metric measuring
- Understand and follow work
- Read plans, drawings, apply putty, paint and other materials to the
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as defects, materials, techniques, and other issues As needed.
- Ability to work in team environment.
- Desire to contribute to success of company with hard work and dedication.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply instructions from blueprints and/or engineering work instructions.
- 5 years’ experience painting in automotive industry.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works around hazardous machinery; in exterior weather and may work under inclement conditions; loud noise environment and a confined workspace. The employee is occasionally required to work nights; exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high temperatures; fumes, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; significant climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 15% sitting, 40% walking, and 45% standing, push; pull; bend; climb stairs; use hands to finger; kneel; file; reach below shoulders;
and drive a motor vehicle. The employee is occasionally required to recline; reach above shoulders; lift 50 pounds; lift from the floor or at arm level; and lift bulky items. The job is performed under some temperature extremes. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED. One year of related experience.
