Position: Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA)

Description

77 Consultants is urgently seeking a dedicated Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) to join our medical practice in Lancaster. This contract position is exclusively on-site and offers a unique opportunity to provide immediate care and contribute to the well‑being of our community.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments and evaluations in an urgent care setting
  • Provide diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of acute conditions
  • Perform minor procedures and administer vaccinations
  • Manage patient care plans and follow‑up treatments
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols
Requirements
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Health Connect
  • Coverage Period: Immediate start for a duration of 3 months
  • Shift

    Schedule:

    12:00 PM to 10:30 PM, four shifts weekly, including every other weekend and holiday coverage
  • Call Responsibilities: No on‑call duties required
  • Patient Demographics and Case Types: Focused on urgent care and same‑day visits that address episodic health issues. Typical cases include cold and flu management, suturing, X‑ray evaluations, incision and drainage, fracture care, and toenail removal. Providers must possess significant experience in high‑acuity settings, either in standalone urgent care facilities or emergency departments, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience within the last 3 years
  • Patient Volume: Anticipate 3 scheduled patients per hour, accounting for 2 blocks designated for mentor spots. Appointment duration is 20 minutes for both in‑person and video visits, and 10 minutes for telephone consultations. Familiarity with telehealth modalities is necessary, although the majority of consultations will be face‑to‑face
  • Support Staff Availability: Dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Medical Assistants (MAs) will provide support

    Candidates must hold a valid California license, a furnishing license for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
