The Fruteria Clerk  supports the day-to-day operations of the Fruteria(cut fruit) department by preparing fresh-cut fruit, stocking displays,maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This role is essential to creating a fresh, welcoming environment for customers while modeling Vallarta's Core Values: customer service, commitment, integrity, respect, humility, and teamwork.

• Prepare, package, and label fresh-cut fruit according to Vallarta's Production Tool guidelines.
• Accurately record inventory and production, including inter-departmental transfers.
• Stock, rotate, and maintain fruit displays to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Monitor proper food storage temperatures and follow Health Department regulations.
• Keep Fruteriatools, equipment, and workstations clean and sanitized.

  Lead or Produce Manager.
• Greetandassistcustomers with fresh fruit selections and custom cut-fruit items.
• Promote sales using suggestive selling techniques while ensuring extraordinary service.
• Buildandmaintainvisually appealing displays with proper signage and pricing.
• Communicate supply needs (packaging, utensils, etc.) to the lead or manager.
• Support fellow team members and attend meetings/training as scheduled.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation policies; ensure safe and clean work areas.
• Abide by Vallarta's company policies and uphold the Nuestra CASA pledge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Stand and walk for long periods(6-8 hours/day).

Frequently bend, squat, twist, and reach above/below shoulders.

Use hands frequently for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.

Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.

Work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to perishable products.

• Friendly, courteous, and customer-oriented personality.

• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of English language.
• Prior grocery or food retail experience a plus, but not required,on-the-job training provided.
