A major part of this role includes working with equipment involving PLCs and VFDs, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and making repairs. While you’ll work around PLC-controlled systems, we’re looking for a technician who can keep the equipment running, minimize downtime, and support production success.
Reporting to:
Maintenance Manager / Plant Manager
A highlight of your day-to-day will include:
Performing routine preventative maintenance (PMs) to ensure equipment reliability and reduce downtime
Troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment
Diagnosing and servicing equipment that includes PLCs and VFDs (repair/troubleshooting required; programming not required)
Supporting new equipment installation projects and plant expansion efforts
Working with vendors to support equipment installs, service, and troubleshooting needs
Completing maintenance work safely, efficiently, and with a production-focused mindset
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum of 5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience required including electrical motor controls
Preferred:
Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment involving PLCs and VFD systems (programming experience not required)
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience working with the following:
Belt conveyors
Mixers Augers Replacement of bearings, including pillow block, flange, sleeved, tapered, and non-tapered roller bearings
Head and tail belt pulleys
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair capabilities
Ability to work independently, prioritize maintenance issues effectively, and communicate clearly with production and maintenance teams
Demonstrated safety-first mindset with a commitment to producing reliable, high-quality work
