Maintenance Technician A

Transdev is seeking an experienced B‑Level Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity.

• Competitive compensation: minimum $34.00 per hour ($70,720 annually) – maximum $41.00 per hour ($85,280 annually)
• Vacation: minimum 2 weeks

• Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot engine issues.
• Perform moderate‑complexity repairs and replacements on engine components.
• Assist A‑Level Mechanics with advanced diagnostics and repairs.
• Execute routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and rebuilding of engines and components.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
• Maintain vehicles so they are safe for customers.
• Diagnose and repair brakes, HVAC, engine tune‑ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmissions, electrical systems, and more.
• Assist with road calls and emergency service repairs.
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately and maintain records of all maintenance work, parts, and supplies.
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Other duties as required.

• 5 years of experience as a mechanic (preferred).
• 21 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Good fabrication and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• 5+ years automotive or electric vehicle repair experience or combination of education and experience.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical examination, including background check and drug test.
• Must have an appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
• ASE certifications required; program provided.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical; no use of Schedule I drugs.

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules.
• Must lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must perform work in all weather conditions.
• Work involves long periods of sitting, standing.
• Work environment is a mix of indoor and outdoor settings.
