SUMMARYElectrical Technicians will respond to requests for electrical repairs and breakdowns as well as perform routine maintenance and upgrade equipment as necessary. Candidates must know how to troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and make adjustments or repairs if they are not working properly.
JOB DESCRIPTION- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
- Responsible for the protection and safety of company assets and associates.
- Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Observe and report procedural violations and illegal activity.
- Conduct tests and assessments of new systems and repairs to ensure quality.
- Assemble and install electrical panels, wire harnesses, and other electrical equipment.
- Respond quickly to all service requests and efficiently troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
- Communicate estimated timelines for repairs to those impacted.
- Install new equipment and wiring to expand infrastructure as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on a regular schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in electrical engineering technology preferred.
- Valid electrician license in good standing.
- 2+ years of experience working as an electrical technician.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and all necessary equipment.
- Able to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient with manual and power tools.
- Familiar with code requirements and company safety regulations.

Regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally may work in high precarious places.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
$17.20-$24.00/Hourly
