Parts Clerk

MV Transportation is hiring a Parts Clerk to support safe, reliable transit operations. In this role, you will receive, issue, and track vehicle parts and supplies for bus and paratransit fleets. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory, processing purchase orders, organizing storerooms, and coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure needed parts are available. You will verify shipments, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory systems.

The Parts Clerk supports safety and cost control by following established procedures, labeling and storing parts properly, and assisting with periodic audits and reports for the maintenance department.

Responsibilities

• Receive, label, and store vehicle parts and supplies for transit fleets
• Issue parts to maintenance staff and track usage accurately
• Maintain inventory records in computerized systems
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits
• Verify incoming shipments, resolve discrepancies, and process returns
• Organize storeroom and ensure parts are stored safely and accessibly
• Prepare and process purchase requests or work orders for needed items
• Coordinate closely with maintenance teams to meet repair schedules
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies in parts handling
• Assist with inventory and usage reports for supervisors or management
