RFK Community Alliance has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Health Services Assistant.
Who We SeekWe seek a dynamic Health Assistant to provide clerical and coordination support to the Health Services Department. This position plays a key role in ensuring continuity of care for residents by managing medical documentation, coordinating healthcare appointments, maintaining health records, and supporting nursing staff with day-to-day health services operations. The Health Assistant serves as a liaison between healthcare providers, nursing staff, and residential programs to ensure accurate communication and timely follow-up of healthcare needs.
MedicalAppointment Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate medical, dental, vision, and routine healthcare appointments for residents.
- Facilitate transportation and accompany residents to healthcare appointments.
- Communicate appointment details with residential and nursing staff and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Obtain medical documentation and provider recommendations following appointments.
- Upload and maintain medical records, appointment documentation, and healthcare forms within the electronic health record system (eHana).
- Ensure all health-related documentation is accurate, complete, and filed in a timely manner.
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and record maintenance for the Health Services Department.
You are an organized, detailed, and computer savvy professional who is looking to use your experience and skills in a collaborative group setting. Specific qualifications include:
- High School Diploma;
Associate degree preferred - Must be able to successfully complete Medication Administration Certification
- Proficient in e-Hana is preferred
- Minimum of one year working with children and adolescents in a residential setting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suit
- A valid driver’s license
- Managing appointments and transporting residents to the scheduled appointments
- Documentation of appointments and any additional paperwork necessary for the resident’s records.
40 hours per week;
Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm (Flexible)
