3rd Shift Monday through Friday 11:00pm to 7:00am. Shift Differential: additional $1.00 per hour.
Position SummaryManually inspects completed plastic parts and packs them into boxes for shipping. Seals boxes, prints labels, and stacks full boxes on pallets. May operate machines and train Inspector/Packer I’s. Operates safely and keeps work area clean and organized.
Essential Functions- Follow directions to operate a plastic injection molding machine under supervision.
- Remove parts from mold, assemble light sub-assemblies, and pack finished products.
- Perform visual inspection of parts and notify supervisor of issues.
- Set up station with correct process inspection documents, screens, or workflow instructions.
- Package and label production according to standard operating procedure.
- Document production, calculate number of products inspected and rejected.
- Communicate any process problems to Process Technician/Shift Supervisor/Group Lead.
- Perform frequent examination of visual attributes of each product (discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination, sinks, splay, delamination, etc.).
- Assist with relieving other operators during scheduled breaks.
- Maintain neat and clean area, follow fire protection, safety, and environmental rules.
- Follow specifications and procedures for manufacturing (process sheets, work orders, special instructions).
- Handle all material, parts, and equipment to prevent damage and loss of finished product.
- Education: High School diploma, equivalent, trade school graduate, or minimum experience.
- Experience: 1 year in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Good written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers. Basic knowledge of equipment. Basic ability to read prints and use simple measuring equipment. Basic math skills.
