Monday–Friday, generally 7:30AM–3:30 PM; on-call rotation with weekly stipend

About This Assignment

This 13-week contract RN role, placed through Arbor Associates, is embedded across school-based and residential youth programs serving children and young adults with complex behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs in Lancaster, MA. You'll float between program sites providing clinical oversight, medication management (MAP), health coordination, and emergency response — working alongside educators, residential staff, and healthcare providers in a setting where your clinical judgment directly shapes outcomes for the young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and support medication administration programs (MAP) in compliance with Massachusetts regulations
  • Coordinate primary, specialty, and preventive care across school and residential program populations
  • Conduct state-mandated health programs including immunization surveillance and vision/hearing screenings
  • Triage illness, injuries, and acute health concerns; provide emergency nursing interventions
  • Serve as a health advocate and educator for students, residents, families, and program staff

Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to move between multiple program sites within the Lancaster area
  • Capacity to respond to health emergencies requiring physical intervention and mobility
  • Comfort working in both school-based and residential care environments with youth populations
  • Participation in rotating on-call coverage for evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
