Lancaster, New Hampshire: A respected rural health system in the White Mountains region seeks an experienced Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to serve as MEDICAL DIRECTOR for its outpatient primary care practices while maintaining an active clinical role. This role combines meaningful organizational influence with ongoing patient care in a collaborative, mission-driven environment serving communities in northern New Hampshire and neighboring Vermont.
You will split your time 50% clinical and 50% administrative. As Director, you will help shape and strengthen rural outpatient services, working closely with senior leadership to guide clinical operations, support providers, advance quality initiatives, and promote a culture centered on safety, transparency, and continuous improvement. As a full-spectrum outpatient primary care physician, you will provide care to your own patients consistent with your board certification and scope of practice (all ages or adult medicine).

An ideal candidate will bring several years of experience in outpatient practice, ideally in Rural Health Clinic environments with integrated behavioral health or substance use disorder populations. This role is well suited to a respected clinician-leader who values collaboration, mentorship, and the opportunity to drive positive change within a close-knit rural healthcare system.

Compensation & Benefits:$310,000 base salary $15,000 annual Medical Director stipend
Choice of incentive structure:o $200,000 commencement bonus with five-year commitmento
OR $25,000 commencement bonus plus annual student loan repayment (up to $200,000 total) wRVU productivity incentive program
