* Position Overview:

** This role is within a manufacturing company serving the automotive industry. The Assistant Controller will oversee and manage the organization’s financial operations, providing hands-on accounting support while ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. The role requires direct involvement in day-to-day financial activities, including month-end closing and journal entries, and contributes to effective financial planning and control across the organization.

* Key Responsibilities:

** Manage and maintain accurate and timely accounting records in compliance with corporate policies and standards

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close processes

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

Develop and maintain financial control systems to safeguard assets and monitor operations

Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data supports business operations and decision-making

Ensure consistent, accurate, and relevant management information for leadership and audit purposes

Drive continuous improvement within the finance function and support operational managers in financial processes

Key Qualifications /

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive

Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, payroll, budgeting, and forecasting

Practical experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general financial analysis skills

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to collaborate across teams
