Salary Range: $16.00 To $18.00 Hourly
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESConduct training on the job, in the naturally occurring environment, or other community-based locations following job coaching/ training procedures. Work assignments are based on program requirement, and trainee needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide coaching and training services to trainees.
- Based on the Individual Service Plan (ISP) or Individual Employment Plan (IEP) plan, the job coach with the trainee will develop a plan of action that utilizes appropriate learning with a variety of learning strategies. The job coach will conduct services to address trainee barriers and meet Funding Source/Trainee requirements. Job Coach will address trainee needs with appropriate interventions.
- Conduct a task analysis as required; arrange all tasks into sequential teachable components.
- In a work setting:
- Monitor and teach appropriate work-related skills and behaviors.
- Identify employer or trainee concerns and resolve potential problems.
- Ensure that tasks are completed according to the established standard.
- Conduct travel training and/or site duties, when needed.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with counselors and area employers.
- Travel to trainee’s worksites.
- Provide on-the-job support services such as demonstrating the skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed on the job, which can lead to trainee successes.
- When providing job coaching and/or retention services to a placed trainee, identify and implement appropriate strategies for fading out services.
- Develop and maintain a training schedule to ensure that trainees and Workforce Development staff meet all of the requirements from the funding referring agency. Maintain accessible and accurate training records for all training participants.
- Represent Zanesville Welfare Organization and Goodwill Industries, Inc. in a courteous and professional manner.
- Report regularly to your supervisor on trainees’ progress, using observation notes and case files.
- Complete and submit accurately, within 5 business days of service completion dates, all required reporting forms, including hours worked.
- Ensure trainee satisfaction and stakeholder satisfaction surveys are completed and in the good to excellent range.
- Participate in staff training as required and assigned.
- Participate in trainee staffing with referral counselor or other professionals.

EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma or equivalent training. Knowledge of behavior modification and techniques and ability to conduct a task analysis. Ability to develop appropriate teaching aids and suggest accommodations or assisting devices.
EXPERIENCESix to twelve months of effective work experience. Computer knowledge and usage required. Must have and maintain a valid Ohio and/or West Virginia driver’s license to perform duties and responsibilities of position. Must remain insurable under the employer’s common insurance carrier.
