Ohio University's Regional Campuses are located in the following cities in the State of Ohio:
Chillicothe;
Eastern (St. Clairsville, OH), Lancaster, Southern (Ironton, OH), and Zanesville. We are accepting applicants for potential adjunct faculty openings in Biological Sciences beginning Fall semester 2026 and/or Spring semester 2027. The need for these positions is undetermined at this time and is dependent on operational needs including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting.

Job Description
- Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking part-time instructors to teach Biological Sciences courses at the undergraduate level in-person at the Lancaster and Eastern campuses. The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and overall student demand. When a need arises, the department will select qualified candidates from this pool. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach the following in-person sections at Lancaster and Eastern: BIOS
1300 (Principles of Human Anatomy and Physiology I) BIOS
1310 (Principles of Human Anatomy and Physiology II) Lancaster- in person: BIOS
1030 (Human Biology) BIOL
1010 (Principles of Biology, lecture) BIOS
1030:
For nonmajors. Humans as biological organisms: our origins, ecology, and inheritance, and functioning of our body systems. BIOS
1300:
Introduction to the structure and function of the human body using chemicals, cells, tissues, to study the integumentary, skeletal, muscular and nervous systems. BIOS
1310: is a continuation of the BIOS
1300 series, the second course in a 2-course introduction to the structure and function of the human body, featuring study and critical-thinking evaluation of the endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic & immune, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary and reproductive systems. BIOL
1010:
Non-science majors explore living organisms from the cellular to ecosystem levels, using scientific information and laboratory exercises to understand historic discovery and contemporary issues in biology and evolutionary processes. Position will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Biology or closely related content area.

Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Biology
