Intervention Specialist, Education ​/ Teaching

A K-12 Intervention Specialist provides individualized academic, developmental, behavioral, and social support to students with disabilities in a school-based setting. This role implements IEPs, monitors student progress, provides specialized instruction and accommodations, and collaborates with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success.

• Implement individualized education programs (IEPs), accommodations, modifications, and behavioral supports.
• Provide individualized instruction and interventions based on student needs.
• Monitor, collect, and document student progress and behavioral data.
• Maintain accurate and timely student records and daily documentation.
• Support positive classroom behavior and respond appropriately to crisis situations.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers.
• Communicate student progress, needs, and concerns with the educational team and families.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Participate in required training and professional development.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in special education, early childhood education, or a related field.
• Valid Intervention Specialist license or eligibility for applicable licensure.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special educational needs.
• Knowledge of IEPs, individualized instruction, accommodations, and behavioral supports.
• Ability to safely respond to student behavioral or crisis situations.
• Successful completion of required background checks and employment eligibility requirements.
