Overview

Cardiovascular Technologist – Echo Tech position in Lancaster, Ohio. Travel assignment starting 07/20/2026 for 13 weeks with guaranteed 40 hours per week on a Day shift in a short-term acute care setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,409 to $2,570 per week. This assignment is travel-based and supports cardiovascular diagnostics and non‑invasive cardiopulmonary procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent data for diagnosis, including 2‑D echo with M‑Mode, spectral and color flow doppler, as well as stress echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography when ordered.
  • Conduct cardiovascular diagnostic tests such as EKGs, event monitor applications, cardiac monitor applications, pulmonary function tests, lower‑extremity Doppler studies, and stress testing.
  • Accurately record procedure data in patient charts/EMR and promptly inform physicians of life‑threatening test results.
  • Maintain and disinfect cardiology equipment and accessories; manage related supply inventory and clerical duties as assigned.
  • Support CQI activities, prepare/present meetings, supervise and instruct students, precept new staff, and maintain HIPAA‑compliant handling of all patient information.
  • Uphold patient rights and provide customer‑focused care, including service recovery when needed; participate in quality improvement initiatives and Six Sigma‑related activities as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Education:

    Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Vascular/Echocardiography from an accredited program, or on‑the‑job training with an allied health degree.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or ARDMS registered cardiac sonographer (or registry eligible); CPR required.
  • Experience:

    One to two years in echocardiography preferred, including 2‑D echo with M‑Mode, spectral, and color flow Doppler; transesophageal and stress echocardiography skills are a plus.
  • Skills/Capabilities:
    Knowledge of clinical interventions and equipment for the patient population served; ability to perform rhythm recognition competencies.
  • Working environment:
    Ability to work in a healthcare setting with the duties described; capacity to pass required competencies.
