Staff Pharmacist – Lancaster, OH

Location: 401 N. Ewing Street, Lancaster, OH 43130

Position Details
  • Project Duration: 13 weeks (contract)
  • Salary: $70–$75 per hour
  • Shift: 7 on / 7 off nights (8:00 pm – 7:30 am, Thursday to Thursday)
  • Guaranteed

    36 per week
Job Summary

Provides pharmaceutical care to patients, including monitoring, evaluation, and assurance of the quality of medication use, provision of drug information, distribution, and control of drugs and other patient services. Performs other duties as requested in accordance with FMC policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, interpret, process, and validate medication orders and prescriptions accurately.
  • Monitor and manage patient medication therapy to ensure therapeutic appropriateness and effectiveness of drug regimens.
  • Maintain departmental policies and procedures, quality improvement programs, and records consistent with regulations and standards.
  • Communicate drug information to patients, families, and other health care providers.
  • Participate in drug therapy management of medical emergencies by responding to emergency calls, assisting in medication preparation and provision of drug information, and ensuring adequate medication supplies.
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day pharmacy technician activities.
  • Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.

      D. from an accredited American College of Pharmacy.
    • Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
    • At least one year of hospital pharmacy experience (preferred).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
