Medication Technician

Position Overview

Overnight Shifts Available.

Medication Technician supports resident care within the branch, ensuring resident’s daily medication needs are met in a compassionate way that maintains dignity, allowing them to live their life to the fullest.

• Full-time employees eligible for medical, dental, vision, and voluntary products.
• Part‑time employees (≤29 hours per week) eligible for voluntary life, short‑term & long‑term disability, accident, critical illness, identity protection, and cyber monitoring.
• Benefits start on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.

• Daily pay available.

• Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders.
• Understand and follow the “Six rights of medication administration” and all Bickford policies regarding medication management.
• Use eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non‑licensed team members as appropriate.
• Demonstrate the Bickford Mission “Whatever it Takes” to all team members on shift.

• Active Medication Technician License in good standing or at least one year of experience in senior care.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willingness to take additional training or education as required by state.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time‑management skills.
• Demonstrated good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making.
• Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system.
