Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant role located in Lancaster, OH. The Medical Assistant will support providers by preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, documenting patient history, and assisting with examinations and minor procedures. Daily responsibilities include managing patient flow, updating electronic medical records, handling basic clinical tasks such as medication reconciliation and specimen collection, and ensuring that supplies and equipment are well maintained.
The role also involves coordinating patient appointments, performing front-desk duties as needed, and providing clear, respectful communication to patients and families. The Medical Assistant will follow established clinical protocols, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to a safe and organized care environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Medical Assisting, including supporting examinations and basic clinical procedures
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate and document clinical information
- Experience in a Medical Office setting, including scheduling, front-desk support, and patient check-in/check-out
- Strong Patient Care skills, with a focus on compassion, safety, and clear communication
- Ability to manage and maintain Medical Records, preferably within electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification (e.g., CMA, RMA) preferred
- Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
- Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods, assist with patient positioning, and perform routine clinical tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to maintaining a respectful, inclusive workplace
