Respiratory Therapists (RT) Full-Time Nights Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation

Location: Newark, Ohio

About the Role

Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation, a skilled nursing facility providing short-term rehabilitation and extended care, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist (RT) with our facility, you will have the opportunity to work with a progressive, high-quality care team to deliver innovative therapy techniques and professional medical care to our patients.

Our goal is to enable you to achieve the quality of life you deserve in a comfortable and intimate environment.

Responsibilities
  • Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators
  • Operates equipment to ensure specified parameters of treatment and administers medicinal gases and aerosol drugs to patients under the orders of Physician
  • Monitors patient's physiological responses to therapy through patient vital signs
  • Assists patient in performing breathing exercises
  • Observes equipment function and adjusts equipment to obtain optimum results to therapy
  • Maintains patient's chart that contains pertinent identification and therapy information
  • Inspects and tests respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently
  • Orders repairs when needed
  • Demonstrates respiratory care procedures to trainees and other healthcare personnel
Requirements
  • Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy
  • One to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
