Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

• No weekend or on-call requirements

• Truebeam/Aria experience preferred

• Ohio Department of Health License preferred upon submission

• Minimum of 1-2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred

• Associate's degree in radiography with certification in radiation therapy required;
Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy preferred

• Must be a graduate of a JRCERT approved school registered through ARRT in Radiation Therapy

• Required certifications and licenses:
State of Ohio Radiation Therapist License, ARRT License, CPR Certification

• Deliver prescribed and planned courses of radiation therapy using radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards

• Obtain patient history, answer patient questions, and explain procedures while observing patients for unusual reactions or events during treatment

• Schedule patients for treatments and interface with physicists, physicians, nurses, and social workers

• Check prescriptions, diagnoses, charts, and patient identification to ensure accurate treatments

• Prepare electronic and written documentation including evaluation results, treatment plans, and progress reports

• Prepare room and equipment for patients and position patients in prescribed anatomical positions for treatment

• Perform verification and port film exposures for all treated areas and make corrections as directed by physician

• Must be able to exert up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills required

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions required
