Radiology - Radiation Therapy

Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. No weekends or on-call shifts.

As a Radiation Therapist, you will perform radiotherapy procedures as prescribed by a physician while adhering to established standards and practices. Your role involves providing comprehensive patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of your licensure and competencies.

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy using designated equipment.
• Obtain patient histories, respond to inquiries, and explain procedures clearly.
• Monitor patients for unusual reactions during treatments.
• Adhere to departmental and hospital policies, along with safety and infection control standards.
• Schedule patient treatments and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure accurate treatment delivery by checking prescriptions and patient identification.
• Prepare necessary documentation, including treatment plans and progress reports.
• Transfer and position patients safely for treatment.
• Reinforce post-treatment care recommendations provided by the healthcare team.
• Perform verification and port film exposures as needed.
• Engage in professional development activities.

• Associate's degree in radiography with certification in radiation therapy;
  Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Graduation from a JRCERT approved program; certification by the ARRT in Radiation Therapy.
• State of Ohio radiation therapist license and ARRT certification.
• CPR certification.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
