We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist!

Fairfield County, OH

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We serve Southeast and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services – working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities.

The Human Resources Generalist performs a broad range of HR responsibilities in support of assigned service area(s). This position partners closely with human resources leadership, managers, employees, HR support staff, and internal partners to ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices.

The pay range for this position is $31.25-$36.06 an hour based on experience, education, and/or licensure.

Essential Functions
  • Support core human resources functions, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compensation, training, employee engagement, leave communication, payroll coordination, and employee record retention.
  • Provide employee relations support in partnership with the HR employee relations team, HR leadership, and management, including intake, documentation, follow‑up, and communication related to employee concerns.
  • Communicate organizational policies, procedures, programs, and expectations to employees and leaders in a clear, consistent, and professional manner.
  • Support HR policy administration and assist with compliance related to applicable labor laws, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and records within HR systems, including employment, attendance, leave, payroll‑related information, and other workforce records.
  • Support benefits administration and compensation‑related processes by coordinating information, responding to employee questions, and partnering with appropriate HR team members or vendors.
  • Assist with performance management programs by tracking timelines, supporting communications, maintaining documentation, and helping leaders and employees navigate required processes.
  • Coordinate with HR support staff, managers, and vendors to process and maintain required employment, attendance, benefits, and other HR‑related records.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR initiatives, systems, workflows, and employee‑facing resources.
  • Provide internal support and partnership to assigned services to help meet operational HR needs and promote consistent application of HR practices.
  • Travel within the designated service area, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements Education / Licensure
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • Human resources certification is preferred.
Experience
  • 3 years’ experience performing HR‑related duties in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation support, performance management, policy implementation, or compliance is required.
  • Experience supporting managers and employees across designated business units is preferred.
  • Experience working in behavioral healthcare or related fields is preferred.
Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Advanced organizational, time management, and follow‑through skills are required.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, employment laws, labor law requirements, and regulatory compliance standards is preferred.
  • Knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation support, leave and attendance tracking, payroll coordination, employee records, and performance management processes is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and apply organizational policies and procedures consistently and professionally is required.
