Production Manager1st Shift: Monday through Friday 6am-2:30pmPosition Summary

The Production Manager oversees the planning, scheduling, and execution of production activities across one or more company facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and consistently while meeting established standards for quality, cost, delivery, customer requirements, inventory levels, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate daily manufacturing operations in accordance with company policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules, staffing plans, and labor reports.
  • Ensure production goals are met while optimizing labor efficiency, machine utilization, product quality, and operating costs.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of standardized manufacturing processes.
  • Review operational results, identify performance variations, and conduct root-cause analysis to address issues affecting plant operations or financial performance.
  • Partner with the Plant Manager to develop operating, staffing, and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Monitor facility performance against established budgets and provide regular reporting.
  • Hire, train, coach, evaluate, and manage production employees and supervisory staff.
  • Address employee performance concerns and workplace grievances within the position's area of responsibility.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety and quality policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Understand and manage the environmental aspects and potential impacts associated with manufacturing activities.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may involve periods of physical exertion and exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and stretch for extended periods during a normal work shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of post-secondary education.
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • At least three years of supervisory or management experience within a manufacturing facility.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, labor efficiency, machine utilization, safety, and quality standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Additional relevant manufacturing experience may be considered in place of the education requirement at the discretion of the Plant Manager.
