- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for ER patients using the nursing process; adjust care as patient needs evolve.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders; monitor for response and adverse effects; document thoroughly.
- Provide education to patients and families from admission through discharge; support discharge planning and transitions of care.
- Notify and collaborate with physicians on pertinent changes in patient status; coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure timely, safe care.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available; maintain a safe, clean, and orderly ER environment; report malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive, legible documentation and comply with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Licensure:
Valid Ohio RN license; CPR certification. - Education:
Associate degree in nursing; BSN preferred. - Experience:
Previous nursing experience preferred. - Specialization: ER experience not required to apply, but experience in fast‑paced clinical settings is advantageous.
