The registered nurse specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) on the inpatient surgical floor provides comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions. This role involves supervising co-workers and delegating appropriate tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures, ensuring quality patient care in a fast‑paced environment.

• Schedule:
  
  Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio;
  Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma in Nursing, Associate degree in Nursing, or Bachelors degree in Nursing); CPR certification; 0 years of experience
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Previous registered nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting preferred
• Essential Job Functions:
  
  Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on the nursing process; provide patient and family education from admission through discharge; accurately document all care activities; notify physicians of patient status changes; administer medications and treatments safely; ensure availability of supplies and equipment; handle patient care activities effectively
• Physical and Mental Demands:
  Capable of exerting heavy physical effort; ability to communicate empathetically; manage urgent situations calmly; supervise and direct nursing assistants professionally; possess strong observational, organizational, and critical‑thinking skills
• Environmental and Safety Considerations:
  No special environmental considerations; adherence to safety protocols required
