Lancaster, OH 43130, USA
LocationThis position is located in Lancaster, OH but will need to travel to the Columbus office once a month.
HoursMonday–Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Essential Functions- Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of Ohio Guidestone, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.
- Update and maintain client charts
- Provide diagnostic tests as directed and/or needed
- Establish and maintain an open line of communication with all therapists, program managers, and off-campus programs
- Provide ongoing education for infectious disease, Hepatitis, vitals, and medications for employees
- Attend nursing meetings as scheduled
- Carry out orders as received from doctors and/or nurse practitioners
- Monitor height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse of clients and report to doctors and/or nurse practitioners
- May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events, specific projects, or program changes
- Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging
- Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required
- Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts
- Complete prior authorizations for medication and return phone calls to clients/families prior to end of shift
- Coordinate the medical portion of client care while receiving services at Ohio Guidestone
- Complete nursing assessments for clients
- Assist with referrals for clients to see health care professionals
- Rotate shift or site as needed based on staffing needs
- Provide ongoing education on mental health diagnosis and medications
- Associate’s degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred - Valid State of Ohio Registered Nursing License required
- Experience and/or knowledge with mental health and substance abuse within children, adolescents and adult populations preferred
- Outpatient office experience recommended
- Mission driven; strong desire to make an impact
- Effective interpersonal skills; able to speak effectively with individuals and/or groups of people
- Ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional judgment
- Flexible; able to work days, evenings, and/or weekends, as needed to meet the needs of clients
- Strong organizational skills; able to handle multiple priorities with strict attention to detail and work independently
- Ability to maintain relevant, timely documentation as required
- Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic health records
- Must be able to access work locations, offices, and homes as necessary, which may include ascending/descending stairs
- Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance
- Successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, and any other required assessments
